Talk about timing!
A large house fire that broke out in Huntersville was quickly extinguished this weekend after crews with the Huntersville Fire Department said they were able to get to the scene in roughly three minutes, thanks to the opening of their new fire station.
The fire happened overnight at a house located on Angel Oak Drive. Huntersville Fire Station 4 had their grand opening exactly one week prior, the department posted on their Facebook page. Thanks to the new location, the first engine was on scene in three minutes and 26 seconds.
Upon arrival, firefighters observed massive flames bursting from the roof of the home. It took crews about 30 minutes to get the fire under control.
