Units from multiple fire departments around Gaston County were dispatched to a house fire on Tuesday evening after a home caught fire around 8:00 p.m. 24 firefighters battled the blaze off of Carson Dr. for 30 minutes before it could be contained. Fortunately, no one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries have been reported. The Gaston County Fire Marshall’s Office initiated an investigation into the fire in order to determine its origins and the damages to the home and declared that the fire had been started accidentally in their preliminary findings.
