The American Red Cross is assisting a Candler family after an overnight house fire woke them at around 2 a.m. Authorities say three people, including a small child, were inside the Jacklyn Drive home when it went up in flames. Officials on scene say a man woke up and was able to get the blaze under control before the fire department arrived. Initial reports say the home does have visible minor damage. The Fire Marshal is investigating and will be back on scene later in the day to continue the investigation.
