A local fire department is hoping you'll bid on some items to help their department. The Trenton Volunteer Fire Department is hosting its annual auction Saturday at 8:30 a.m. at the Trenton Fairgrounds on King Street. The event will feature anything from farm equipment to furniture. There will also be a flea market and a homemade bake sale. This year, organizers say they're missing about 50 bakers who usually help out with the auction because their homes were damaged in the hurricane and they do not have ovens to bake with. They're asking attendees to bring any bake sale items, like brownies, cookies or cakes to the auction. Parking is free and based on a first come first serve basis.
