A fire in the furnace room of Fairview Baptist Church was quickly extinguished Wednesday night. Firefighters got the call about 9:15 p.m. and had the the fire under control about 45 minutes later. Authorities said smoke was showing when crews arrived. It's believe the fire was in the furnace room but the cause is still under investigation. No injuries were reported.
