No one was hurt after a fire in north Fargo Tuesday night. Firefighters got the call around 8:30 to a report of a stove fire at 806 Oak Street North. When crews arrived, there was fire and smoke on the inside of the lower unit of the duplex. Crews quickly extinguished most of the fire. The Fire Department says it was caused by cooking oil when it caught fire on the stove, then extended into the cabinets and ceiling. Crews remained on scene removing portions of the ceiling until the fire was completely extinguished. There were no flames when our crew was there, but heavy smoke. Fargo Fire says everyone in the home was out by the time crews arrived, but there was still a dog inside. One of the fire crews was able to rescue the dog from the building unharmed.
