PHOTOS: Fire officials said five structures and as many as 100 vehicles burned at a fire on a property between Minot and Burlington Sunday. Burlington Rural Fire Chief Karter Lesmann said the call came in around 3:15 p.m. of a fire in the 9300 block of 114th Avenue NW. Roughly 40 firefighters from at least nine different fire departments responded, including Minot Air Force Base. A barn in the middle of the property that was on fire was torn down, and it almost immediately became fully engulfed in flames upon collapsing. No official cause of the fire was released, though the property owner indicated some garbage had been burned earlier. Lesmann said the day’s winds posed a challenge. Lesmann said four garages and the barn were destroyed.
