Fire crews in Rolette County battled a large brush fire north of the Sky Dancer Casino & Resort Thursday afternoon.
A viewer shared a video with Your News Leader of a shot of the fire shortly after 4 p.m. The viewer indicated the fire was moving north, away from the casino.
The casino told Your News Leader they are still open and operating as usual.
In a post on the Belcourt Rural Fire Department’s Facebook page, the department said they are seeing a pattern with fires they have responded to last week and asked the public to report anything they see, such as fires burning, as well as vehicle descriptions or license plate numbers if they see someone setting fires.
Earlier this week, all departments in Rolette County responded to a series of fires, including one that burned at least 1,000 acres between Belcourt and Rolla.
