A family of three is displaced from their home on the north edge of Shelton after a fire Saturday afternoon. The fire at 57145 115th Road was called in at about 2:30 p.m., according to Shelton Fire Chief Jason Wiehn. Gibbon and Wood River volunteer fire departments were called in for mutual aid, Wayne said, and it took the departments about three hours to get the fire under control. According to a Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office incident report, the residence appeared to be a total loss. Wiehn said there were no injuries because nobody was home at the time.
