VIDEO: Two Lincoln families received an early Christmas present. It’s all thanks to the Lincoln Firefighter’s Union. Last month, the union donated coats to Everett and Huntington Elementary Schools as part of their Operation Warm program. During the fundraiser, a union member, who wanted to remain anonymous, donated $1,000 to two Everett Elementary School families out of his own pocket. Union officials worked with the school administrators to determine which families the donation would go to. “When one of our folks wants to go the extra mile like this, it’s a great event,” said Ron Trouba, President of the Lincoln Firefighters Association.
