VIDEO: The former Lincoln Pius X student who stabbed a classmate has been found not responsible by reason of insanity in a November arson fire. Sarah Piccolo, 20, will undergo an evaluation at the Lincoln Regional Center to determine treatment, based on her mental health and the potential threat to public safety. Piccolo was charged with first-degree arson in connection with starting a fire Nov. 5 at Metropolitan Community College’s Elkhorn campus. Prosecutors have said she took a gas can into a bathroom of a building, poured some gas on the floor and threw a match into the can. The fire caused minimal damage.
