Kearney man convicted of arson

A Kearney man is getting an evaluation in Lincoln before a judge sentences him on an arson charge. Clifford Sellers, 31, was convicted of felony first degree arson.for which he could get up to 50 years in prison. However, at a sentencing hearing the judge ordered that he undergo a diagnostic evaluation at a state institution in Lincoln before he be sentenced. The tests are scheduled to last for 90 days, after which Sellers will be formally sentenced.
