The cause of a fire at Northview Apartments, 1215 N. 10th Street, Blair, has not yet been determined. Blair firefighters responded to the blaze at about 10:30 a.m. Monday. The tenant's daughter was home during the time of the fire but was not aware of it, Blair Fire Chief Heath Reyzlik said. The fire has been ruled accidental. Arson is not suspected, although the exact cause has not yet been determined. The Nebraska State Fire Marshal is investigating. Northview resident Tim Grieco reported the fire after he smelled smoke and saw ashes inside his unit, which is directly below the unit in which the fire started. Flames seemed to have caused the most damage to the outdoor balcony of the second-floor unit.
