PHOTO: The fire truck has arrived. In June, Airport Director Raul Aguallo placed an order for a new fire truck for use at the Western Nebraska Regional Airport. The manufacturer had 365 days to build the truck. After a trip to Madison, Wisconsin, in November to make a final inspection, it was delivered on Tuesday to the airport. With the truck delivered, the vehicle and all its accessories are ready to be put to work. The entire project cost just under $900,000 and includes self-contained breathing apparatus, bunker gear and loose tools for the truck. “The truck cost $675,000,” Aguallo said.
