No injuries were reported early Thursday after a vacant, unsecured house in Omaha was apparently set on fire. Crews were dispatched to the house at 4544 N. 17th St. around 1:30 a.m., officials said. On arrival, crews reported smoke and flames on the north exterior of the one-story, single-family house. Crews were able to declare the fire under control within about 10 minutes, officials said. Several areas were found inside the structure where fires began, officials said. The cause of the fire was determined to be incendiary, or arson, officials said. No arrests were announced. The estimated $15,100 structure sustained $7,500 in damage, officials said.
