A grateful family came to the Valley Fire Station Monday night, February 19, to thank the volunteers for coming to their rescue in December. Troy Alexander, the father of the family, collapsed at his home in the early morning hours of December 9, which sent his wife and three sons scrambling to help and to get aid. His wife, Jody, said he wasn’t breathing and his heart had stopped, so she called for help and started CPR, staying on the phone the entire time. Their son, Zach, stepped in to relieve his mom on the CPR. and Troy, Jr., took a turn as well. “It was scary to walk in and find him lying there,” Zach said.
