VIDEO: As concerns over the safety of health care workers continue to rise across the country, the New Hampshire Department of Homeland Security conducted an emergency response drill Wednesday in Franklin.
The drill at Concord Hospital's Franklin campus was intended to test the response time of staff members and first responders, as well as to identify areas that might need improvement.
"There have been some sentinel events, especially up here in the Franklin community, that have happened that have impacted our hospital, and they are events that we've paid attention to that we train to that may force us to bring the police or rescue into to keep us safe," said Eric Crane, security program manager at Concord Hospital.
