Fireman's service held for Central Jersey firefighter, teacher

A number of Hunterdon County fire departments held a fireman's service for Robert Motz, vice president of the Whitehouse Fire Company, on Wednesday evening at Kearns Funeral Home in the Whitehouse section of Readington Township. In addition to Whitehouse, some of the departments in attendance were Readington Fire Company, East Whitehouse Fire Company, Lebanon Borough Fire Department, Clinton Fire Department, Oldwick Fire Company and Whitehouse Rescue Squad. Motz, 54, died suddenly in his home on Sunday. He was a teacher at Whiton Elementary School in Branchburg and a board member for the Hunterdon Bears Hockey Club, where he also coached and focused on speed and agility training.
