All residents have been accounted for after a three-alarm fire tore through a building at the Governor’s Pointe condominium complex in North Brunswick late Saturday night.
Units responded to Albury Way around 10:30 p.m. to find fire consuming a 3-story building containing 12 units.
As firefighters battled heavy flames, it wasn’t clear if everyone had escaped the building.
“We are happy to report that all occupants have been accounted for and no serious injuries have been reported at this time,” North Brunswick Police Captain Brian A. Hoiberg said early Sunday.
The blaze left the building gutted and uninhabitable, Hoiberg said. The Red Cross responded to assist the displaced residents.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
A team of investigators from the North Brunswick Police Department, North Brunswick Fire Marshal’s Office, Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, and Middlesex County Fire Marshal’s office are handling the case.
