Crews were on the scene of a fire at a vacant home Sunday near the intersection of Main Street ad the Black Horse Pike.
At 6:45 p.m. firefighters were called to the scene and discovered a fire in a second floor bedroom. The house has been vacant for years, battalion chief Chad Warmoth said, adding that no one was inside at the time of the fire.
There were no injuries as a result of the fire and the cause in under investigation.
Warmoth said he believes the house has been used by people to do drugs, which may have been a contributing factor to the fire.
Assisting Pleasantville with the fire were the Northfield Fire Department, Absecon Fire Department, the Atlantic City International Airport Fire Department, and the Farmington Fire Department.
