3-Alarm Fire In Aberdeen Injures One, Several Houses Involved

As many as three homes caught fire and roads are closed in Aberdeen Twp. Thursday afternoon, as firefighters fight a three-alarm blaze on Highfield Avenue. The fire started in one home and spread to several others on that street, various news outlets are reporting. See video from the scene below. News 12 New Jersey is reporting the home where the fire started (on the 70 block of Highfield Avenue) has been completely destroyed, and one person was injured. The Asbury Park Press reported that the injured person was the homeowner in the home where the fire first started, and they received minor injuries. They were treated at Bayshore Medical Center. As about 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Lower Main from Keyport to Atlantic Avenue has been completely shut down due to the fire, Aberdeen Twp. wrote on their official Facebook page.
