A 25-year-old New Jersey woman was killed and another driver was seriously injured in a fiery three-vehicle crash Monday night in Morris County. Katelynn Campbell, of the Highland Lakes section of Vernon, was pronounced dead after being flown to Hackettstown Medical Center. Jefferson police said in a statement Campbell was driving south on Green Pond Road around 9:15 p.m. when her vehicle crossed over the center line and struck a northbound vehicle head-on, according to police. Campbell’s car then started to roll over and hit a third vehicle. The car Campbell’s vehicle initially hit ended up in an embankment, seriously injuring the 36-year-old Budd Lake woman driving. She was flown to Morristown Medical Center with serious injuries. Neither the 51-year-old woman driving the third vehicle, nor the 19-year-old passenger were hurt. A police officer extinguished the fire in Campbell’s car before she was removed and placed in a helicopter.
