The body of a 3-year-old girl who was missing after a house fire in Rio Communities last night has been found in the rubble. Valencia County Sheriff Chief Deputy Gary Hall said the girl's body was located late Wednesday afternoon near the kitchen area of the home. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Rio Communities Fire Chief Jason Gonzales said Wednesday morning that personnel from the state fire marshal’s office, New Mexico State Police and the Valencia County Sheriff’s Office were at the destroyed home on the 200 block of Avenida del Fuego, investigating the fire and had been trying to determine the whereabouts of the child.
