A driver hit a fire engine and destroyed an air ambulance while emergency responders were helping a victim in a rollover car accident on state Road 566 Sunday. They had blocked the road for several miles so a medical helicopter could land. The mangled helicopter now sits at a Gallup airport under a tarp. The McKinley County Sheriff’s office said a man named Glenn Livingston drove his jeep right through the road closure hitting the fire engine then the helicopter. “I talked to the fire chief out there he said the patient had not been loaded into the helicopter yet, so the patient was OK,” County Manager Anthony Dimas Jr.
