A small fire broke out early Wednesday morning around 10:42 a.m. at a residence in the 1500 block of Bellamah Drive near Yucca Elementary School engulfing a garage, a metal shed and damaging two vehicles.
Alamogordo Chief of Police Daron Syling said the fire burned the exterior garage and contents. Fire Investigators have not yet determined the cause of the fire.
No injuries were also reported. “This one is too early to tell. It’s very early in the investigation,” he said. “We’re just here to protect firemen and fire hoses.” Hollie Westhead, who owns the property, said she was not sure what happened because she was at school when the fire occurred.
