The Village of Columbus donated an ambulance and some firefighting equipment to its southern neighbor Friday morning. Columbus Fire Chief Andres Ramos and Mayor Philip Skinner handed over the keys and title to the mayor of Puerto Palomas on August 18 after a brief ceremony at the Columbus Fire Department, 504 Wisconsin St. The informal gathering brought officials and residents of Columbus and Palomas together to celebrate the donation of a used 2003 F-350 Ford ambulance and about 20 compressed air breathing systems.
