Firefighters with the Artesia Fire Department and area volunteer fire departments work to contain a blaze that erupted early this afternoon at a residence in Atoka. The fire occurred at the Larry Green home at 15 Half Track Lane. Five family members were reportedly at home at the time; they escaped with only minor smoke inhalation injuries reported. The fire began outdoors, and the family states the trailer home and outdoor structures are a total loss. No further details were available as of press time.
