An early morning wake-up call served to scare a lot of people in San Juan County Thursday morning.
According to the San Juan County Communication Authority, a Reverse 911 call meant to alert a few residents of a SWAT situation in their neighborhood instead went to people all over the county.
“I was wide awake after the call, wondering if there was going to be gunshots through the house, I didn't know what was going on, so I didn't sleep,” Jan Foutz said.
Foutz got the call a little after 2 a.m. Thursday.
“Shelter in place,” she said she heard on the call.
