It was the final trip home for a young Four Corners family Wednesday.
A father, mother and their two young children were killed in what investigators believe was a drunken driving crash. They were transported from Albuquerque to Farmington.
People, including fire and law enforcement officials, lined the route. They traveled on U.S. 550, past the spot where the family was hit head-on and killed Friday night. By the time the Crawford family had reached Farmington, the line was more than a mile long representing fire agencies across New Mexico and Colorado, where Jimmie Crawford volunteered for Durango Fire Rescue. Police, paramedics, and a number of private vehicles were all in escort.
