Bernalillo County firefighters have responded to a hay fire in the South Valley on Tuesday. Six crews on scene are using hand tools to contain the blaze about 20 feet high by 40 feet wide and 80 feet deep at a dairy farm on the 5500 block of Jacqueline Drive. They expect firefighting efforts to continue until at least Wednesday. No structures are at risk, but smoke can be seen throughout the area.
