We rely on them to help us during an emergency, but sometimes the stress of their job can take a toll on our first responders. So much so, it can lead them to commit suicide. Firefighter Robert Arrieta began his firefighting career 16 years ago.
As many first responders do, he had a call that he will never forget and that would eventually change his life.
Seven years ago, Arrieta responded to a call of a 3-year-old girl who drowned in her backyard. She eventually died.
Arrieta said that girl was the same age and size as his son and it’s the reason why he started the organization Skulls For Hope.
