The New Mexico Firefighters Event for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation has been raising money to help fund research to find a cure for cancers affecting children. The event, which features firefighters, police officers, EMTs and others who shave their head in solidarity to these young victims, began in Albuquerque in 2007. It has been held in Rio Rancho since 2010. This event is celebrating its 11th anniversary and we are planning a wonderful opportunity for firefighters and the community to be involved in this critical effort. Funds raised at this event benefit local researchers in the efforts to find cures for cancers primarily affecting children.
