Taos Central Dispatch reported a single-vehicle rollover on State Road 68 south of Pilar near the Dixon turnoff after 5 a.m. Monday morning (March 12).
Taos County Emergency Services, the Taos County Sheriff's Office and Taos Volunteer Fire Department responded to the site of the crash by 5:30 a.m. and discovered a Ford Ranger overturned on the side of the roadway. Taos firefighters had to cut through the vehicle to access the driver and one passenger, according to Sheriff Jerry Hogrefe.
Hogrefe said the driver had suffered minor injuries. The passenger, he said, was taken by ambulance to Holy Cross Hospital in Taos. Hogrefe did not know the extent of the passenger's injuries yet Monday morning.
