The Buzzard Fire burning in the Gila National Forest has grown to 4,600 acres, according to the update from fire officials.
The fire that started Tuesday afternoon is currently zero percent contained, and crews do not expect to have any containment within the next 10 days. It's burning northeast of Eagle Peak Lookout.
Hikers will be detoured off the Continental Divide trail, and roadblocks are in place. Click here for information about those detours. Smoke may be seen throughout Catron County. "Firefighters can expect warm temperatures and low humidity’s [sic] with gusty winds through the rest of the week with warmer and drier weather expected for the weekend," the update states.
