A woman in Clovis with disabilities is now an honorary firefighter.
According to the Eastern New Mexico News, 37-year-old Kellye Long became an honorary firefighter on Wednesday.
She was presented with a badge and a custom helmet.
She inspected the inside of a fire engine, toured the station, and learned the responsibilities an honorary team member has.
A rehabilitation services representative says the ceremony was a dream come true for Kellye, who has wanted to be a firefighter since she was 5-years-old.
