Age 86, a resident of Peñasco passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018. He lived an incredible and faithful life. This very intelligent man was able to wear many hats.
Josue passed away after a short battle with Esophageal Cancer, peacefully with loving family by his side.
Mr. Lopez or “Coach” as many called him, was a public-school teacher for 15 years where he coached his favorite basketball and baseball for elementary, middle and high school. He was a Scout Master for 7 years and was involved in the process of sending young to “Boys State”. He was an American Legion Commander. Board of Director for Taos County School Credit Union, Saint Anthony School in Peñasco (President).
He was a Penasco Fire Dept. Volunteer and Fire Chief for 45 years.
