Clark County firefighters extinguished two small fires this morning, including one that set off sprinklers in a building where offices were under construction.
At 12:59 a.m., firefighters were called to 6180 Brent Thurman Way in the southwest valley, where sprinklers had been activated. They searched the building and discovered a small fire, which they extinguished. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and a damage estimate has not been released.

At 1:41 a.m., firefighters responded to reports of a fire at a residence at 3688 Madrid, near Twain Avenue and Sandhill Road in the east valley. Firefighters found a fire burning in a backyard fire pit, which they extinguished.
No injuries were reported in either fire.
