Firefighters have knocked down a blaze that sparked Monday morning north of downtown Las Vegas.
Flames could be seen coming from a one-story building in the 1400 block of B Street, near the intersection of D Street and Owens Avenue.
No injuries have been reported, and no other buildings were affected, according to Las Vegas Fire & Rescue. Two people were inside the home at the time of the fire, telling officials that a passer-by banged on their door to wake them up.
The building was gutted by the fire, Fire & Rescue said, and the Red Cross of Southern Nevada is helping four adults.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
