The Echo Fire in the south end of the Humboldt Range in Elko County has been fully contained at 6,438 acres, or a bit more than ten square miles, according to the Bureau of Land Management.

The Hogan Fire, about 25 miles southeast of Wells, is 80% contained after burning 10,842 acres, or about 17 square miles. No cause has been determined.
