The miles vanished, as law enforcement officers from all over central New York and beyond came to the Adirondack Bank Center in Utica Wednesday to honor Whitesboro Police Officer Kevin Crossley, who died in a car crash while on duty April 11th. Mementoes, things that brought Crossley joy, surrounded his flag-draped casket; chief among them was his prized Harley Davidson. The family and loved ones to whom Crossley brought much joy sat close by. The officer's bosses, who were also his friends, shared memories of the fun-loving, fierce protector and dedicated public servant. ... Crossley was a Whitesboro police officer, Whitestown police officer and had served as a Whitesboro firefighter. His fire chief and friend, Chief Pete Sobel, remembered his brave friend.
