One woman is dead and one person is in custody after a house fire in Buffalo's Kensington neighborhood. A woman was found dead on the second floor of the home. Sources tell 2 On Your Side that the person in custody is the boyfriend of the victim. Buffalo Fire and Buffalo Police responded to the house fire on Manhattan Avenue around 3:30 a.m. Thursday. The fire was on the second floor and was knocked down quickly. A child was in the home at the time of the fire, but was out before crews arrived to the scene. We were also told firefighters removed a few animals like turtles and snakes. Manhattan Avenue is currently blocked from Shawnee to Leroy Avenue.
