Today will be a quiet and somber day in Hudson as funeral services are held for long-time firefighter Mark Graziano. Graziano battled fires for nearly 30 years. After working on two scenes within 24 hours, he was found unresponsive in his home last Wednesday morning. Because he died so soon after a call, officials are classifying it as a line of duty death, though an exact cause has yet to be determined.
A firefighter, EMT, diver, and Hazmat volunteer for Columbia and Greene Counties, Graziano is survived by his two children, two grandchildren, and two sisters. He was predeceased by his wife. Services will be held at 7 p.m. at the Hudson Fire Department Central Station. Visitation will also be at the firehouse, beginning at 4 p.m.
