A Syracuse man is back to full strength after heroic efforts from several Syracuse Firefighters.
Last Wednesday around 11:25pm, the Syracuse Fire Department was called to a fire at 550 South Clinton Street for a fire on the 13th floor.
It took almost 50 firefighters to put the flames out. While some of the firefighters burst through a locked door and began extinguishing the fire, crews began searching for anyone still trapped. According to the Syracuse Fire Department, in zero visibility, firefighters Joe Skardinski and Dave Corbett found a man unconscious and not breathing.
Assisted by other firefighters, the victim was removed from the apartment.
