Binghamton fire officials say a basement fire at 22 Clarke Street is out. Firefighters say no one was inside the home at the time and no one was injured. However, five people who lived in the home are displaced. There is no word yet on what caused the fire. "Once they completely got here and made entry, it was probably seven to eight minutes until the fire was completely knocked down," Binghamton Fire Department Assistant Chief Rick Allen said. Fire officials say the home sustained smoke damage and windows were blown out.
