Deputies say a 60-year-old Stanley woman was arrested following an arson investigation.
On Wednesday, first responders were called to 4420 County Road 50 in Canandaigua at Pinewood Manor Motel. It prompted a response from the Canandaigua Police Department, Canandaigua Fire Department and VA Fire Department. Upon arrival the fire was contained and extinguished. Deputies say that the motel suffered minor damage, and the rooms impacted were not occupied.
Deputies say Cheryl A. Buckley, 60, set fire to the motel after an individual staying at the multi-unit dwelling broke up with her.
