Firefighters in Buffalo responded a two-alarm fire Tuesday morning on the city's east side. The first calls came in shortly after 5 a.m. for a structure fire on Bryson Street, near the Central Terminal. When firefighters arrived, one home was fully involved and the roof and rear of the other was starting to catch fire. Buffalo Fire crews had trouble with access, with cars blocking driveways so they called in additional crews to help. Some firefighters approached from the back and others loaded into a bucket to fight the fire from above as they couldn't get access to the second floor. One firefighter was injured fighting the fire. Fire officials said he was bitten by a dog trying to gain access to a home to evacuate a person. The firefighter will be brought to the hospital after operations are done at the scene.
