An 18-year veteran of the West Chester Fire Department is its newest lieutenant. Firefighter paramedic Ryan Asbrock’s promotion takes effect Dec. 18. He will earn $75,316 annually in his new role. Asbrock replaces Randy Hanifen, who was promoted to captain in June. “I’m really excited to see Ryan get this job,’’ said Trustee George Lang. “I know he’s a guy to stand for honor. We are getting a world class leader.” Asbrock joined the department in 1998, overseeing the fire hydrant maintenance program, and participating in the Honor Guard.
