Firefighters battled a raging house fire on North Main Street on Thursday evening, with traffic blocked off for about a block at the McPherson Highway intersection.
Clyde police Sgt. James Snell said there were no injuries in the fire, which started shortly after 5 p.m. A dog died in the fire, Snell said.
Three tenants inside the residence — located at 711 N. Main St. — were inside when the fire started, Snell said.
He said the homeowner had been contacted about the fire.
Spectators watched from the nearby Speedway and Rite Aid parking lots as the Clyde Fire Department attempted to extinguish flames coming from the residence's first and second floors.
Black burn marks covered the first floor of the home, with smoke visible to motorists driving through Clyde on U.S. 20.
