Firefighters in Middletown who were trying to revive an overdosing man ended up fighting him off. Neighbors said they were frightened after seeing a man's violent reaction to be revived from an overdose and the punches that followed on Saturday. At his apartment in the 4400 block of Bonita Drive, the routine overdose response looked more like a wrestling match. "It's not often, it does happen enough. We'll see it. Some are more violent than others," Middletown fire Capt. David Von Bargen said. Middletown police said when revived with Narcan, Travis Adams tried to punch firefighters and even ripped out his IV. There was no answer at his home when WLWT stopped by Monday night.
