A Toledo firefighter was sent to the hospital Monday morning after being injured while battling a fire. It happened around 1:45AM at an apartment building located at 4653 North Detroit. The battalion chief on scene tells 13abc the firefighter suffered minor injuries and is expected to be ok. Around 8 tenants live in the building, however the battalion chief says no one was inside when firefighters arrived. The fire started downstairs and quickly spread the the upstairs. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
